Aaaw, Kelle....you and Nana Kate....well, that scene just made me so teary and throat lumpy. So sorry you miss your family, but so happy for you at the same time that you are missing your family. I will explain that sentiment in more detail sometime--if the opportunity arrives ;). But I'll just say for now, that I'm glad you have such a close, loving relationship with your family, and they are lucky to have you :)

And LOVE your Christmas card! Our cards and letters have turned into "Happy New Year" mail....stay tuned ;)

I am so sorry you are missing your family. I too always get a bit teary on Christmas, it has gotten better since I had kids, but I think there is such a build-up with all the preparation and excitement leading up to the actual day and then you feel like "Now what...". I am sure just looking at your beautiful family helps ease that feeling and reminds you of all the wonderful things to come:) Have a great week and enjoy!!

Love the card idea!

Christmas was kinda somber since it was our first without my brother who passed away 3 months ago. It was bitter sweet too since we also have a new baby girl who is almost two months. That is so healing to hug and kiss a blessing straight from God.

Thanks for sharing 'flipping out' and 'missing family' - REAL understandable moments that you do not let control you...beautiful! Rock out the holiday week, enjoy it, tell everyone hi for me (jk), and hope you do get to relax just enough...because you deserve it.
