Bloom for Christmas

Given that Bloom published this year and there's a little holiday around the bend, I suppose I should suggest...

And because I love the idea of a thoughtful gift package, here are a few ideas for including the book in your gift giving this year.

Bloom is available for purchase in bookstores (support your local bookstores--they need it!) and online at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Books a Million, Target and Indie Bound Books.

I am looking forward to listening to Christmas carols this weekend, time with my best friend, a little baking, a full family bed on Sunday morning (if we can convince Nella to join us--Sister likes her crib), and possibly a little Elf. Because smiling's my favorite.

I'll eventually get back to regular Friday phone dumps and #enjoyingthesmallthings collages, but I'm feeling a little lazy during the holidays.  A few from our week:

It's December tomorrow. December.  So I can rightfully incorporate the word jolly into my posts now, right?

Have a jolly 'ol weekend, Friends.

* A friend is hosting a beautiful holiday fund raiser for a precious boy with Down syndrome. I'd love it if you popped over to Miss Miggy to check it out.

I love Bloom! I read it while I was pregnant with my sweet Baker Boy. I laughed and cried along with your lovely as I prepared for his birth. Perfect gift for any woman, mother, sister, friend.

I am going to share it with a reader I mentioned on my blog today. Her story is one of heartache and hope.

I first read Bloom on my nook when it came out, but your post reminded me how much I enjoyed it and needed the hard copy on my shelf! It's truly a wonderful book Kelle!

I've already suggested Bloom as a gift idea to about five people who asked for my suggestions re: gift giving. Truly the best read I read all year, and I read a LOT this year. Plus, it's pretty.

Andplusalso, those Nella smiles made me smile. And no, it wasn't the wine. IT WAS THE CUTE SMILES.

I really need to buy your book. Thanks for reminding me. Drew and Angie thought you were so impressive for not bringing it to sell during your I heart faces conference. You are a genuinely nice person. That rocks.

Hope your weekend is jolly to the max. Love, Becky

PS The pictures of the girls in this post are so incredibly beautiful. Love them!

I have followed your blog for a while but have never posted before... I just received my 3 copies of your book (one for my mom, one for my friend and one for ME!)... I just started it, but I have to tell you, aesthetically, it is one of the most beautiful books that I have ever seen. Of course the contents even more so, which I had expected having read your blog for so long. But *WOW* the presentation is simply amazing. Great great great job!!

Happy Holidays & much love,

Sorry Kelle this was just a tad too self aggrandizing for my tastes. I am certain to be assaulted by your legion of followers for this, but pimping your book is the exact opposite of what you seem to stand for. And yes, you most certainly get to proud of Bloom and all your accomplishments. However, your book speaks for itself. You didn't need to resort to shameless self promotion.

Wait - just a few days ago you blogged about how you are not giving monetarily to others because "shining your inner flashlight" does SO much more for people, and now you are pushing your own book on people so they can give their hard earned money to you?

Is this real life?

Used to be a big fan and supporter but you have completely lost what made you you. You're no longer recognizable or relatable, and I feel bad for you.

Good luck.

Found your birth story on Pinterest and have been reading through your blog since then. My cousin Brittany, who is also my best friend, has a little sister with Downs named Macy, who we absolutely adore. Macy is 2 years younger than us and we grew up watching out for her and I see her as my little sister as well. While Macy can sometimes be a pistol and completely rotten, she couldn't be more perfect. She says and does things everyday that crack us up, she makes friends everywhere she goes, and neither of us can imagine living life with a Macy who has the normal pack of chromosomes. Mace has more fun than anybody we know. She still believes in Santa and magic and has dance parties at school and at home everyday. Macy loves to shop and has a style all her own. She'll be 21 in February and graduating from high school in May. Life with a person with Downs is such a blessing and I think they all teach us to be better people and to love on levels we didn't know existed. I love looking through your pictures. Lainey and Nella are both beautiful girls and lucky to have each other. :)
