I don't usually comment, but I have been reading your blog for a while now and always enjoy what you have to say. But being the momma of two girls and then a precious little boy I just had to leave a comment. When I was pregnant with Jude everyone kept telling me about this special bond momma's have with their little boy. I would always nod my head and say "can't wait" but I never understood what they meant until he came into our lives. It's not that I love him more than my girls, as if that's possible, it's just...different. Boys really do steal their mommy's heart. Congratulations!!!

Kelle, I'm so glad you're going to get to experience the joys of a boy! I know you have the older boys, but it will be so incredible for you to have a boy from infancy on up. We have three boys and a baby girl, and I have been amazed at how different it is to have a girl, even though she's only 11 months old. The first few months the only real difference is diaper-changing, but after that you really start to see bigger differences! You are so blessed. So happy for you all!

I just KNEW you were having a boy! I wasn't surprised when I saw the blue balloon, but I teared up anyway. I just had a baby boy three months ago (my fifth!). My little Ava with Ds is the same age as Nella. I can tell you that after going through the shocking birth experience that we both shared, you will not believe the joy you will feel in your heart when you see your baby boy for the first time. Surreal.

I knew it! I have a boy and two girls too, except my boy is my oldest. He is now 8, and still loves to cuddle his mama, and adores his little sisters. Most of the time.
I know you are all thrilled. I can't wait to hear about his big brothers' reaction. I know they adore their sisters, but now a baby brother - that is something special. My sister has a 20 year age gap between her eldest son and her baby boy (with two girls and another boy in between), and they still have such an amazing bond. Plus teenagers who stay up late are great for MOTN post-feed cuddles. Congratulations mama!

I just discovered your blog two days ago and I haven't had the opportunity to delve too much into it but I have read Nella's birth story twice and wept both times. I love your writing style and I love your photos of your beautiful girls. I checked your blog this morning and saw the video and I thought you were giving your girls a puppy or something. I was pleasantly surprised to see the blue balloon pop out because that means your pregnant (Didn't know that!) and that you are having a boy! I had a baby boy in February and a girl last January (two babies 12.5 months apart!!!) and it is so amazing a wonderful having a baby boy! I love my little girl with all my heart and wasn't sure what it would be like to have another child and have that other child of the opposite gender, but there is something so sweet and beautiful about a little boy's relationship with his mama! Congrats!!!

The other days Tommy was watching a little cartoon where a cat was kissing another cat, and he said " He's kissing his mommy?" Those boys are soooo in love with their mommies, there's nothing like it!!!
